The Garden Creative brings over 25 years of on-the-ground experience in live action, motion graphics, print and social media marketing, with a wagon full of industry awards in tow. But more importantly, The Garden Creative has exclusive access to vendors and crew who are tops in theirs respective fields— from award-winning directors, cinematographers and editors, to art directors and designers. No second fiddles. Just the cream. The wonderful, delicious cream. Mmmm…

Did you see what she was wearing?

We form lasting relationships with clients. That's because we give you direct access to the people you need to communicate with the most—No snooty assistants, no agitating human firewalls. Just the people you need to reach, when you need to reach them. Have an issue? Go right to the top. Wanna gossip about someone? We're there for that too. In fact, we like those calls the best. Ask any of our clients* why they trust The Garden Creative with their most important marketing needs and they'll tell you we've got all the ingredients for a successful campaign, and a successful partnership.

Meet the Crew

We don't bite.

Mike Ring
Mike Ring
Owner/Creative Director

Mike co-founded The Garden creative after a long stint as an Art Director at the Discovery Channel where he oversaw creative advertising for various Discovery networks and developed and managed an internal motion design and animation group. He has earned many industry awards, including multiple Promax/BDA Gold and Silver awards, 2 Webbys, Graphis international design awards, Print Magazine and so on. He earned his a BS and MFA in Visual Communication Design at Kent State University. Mike is also an award winning writer/director, and can be spotted at film festivals around the country. When not sitting behind a desk, Mike likes to get lost in the woods with his wife and three dogs.

Scott Rinebold
Scott Rinebold
Senior Motion Designer

Scott tried to write his own bio and that was a complete disaster — he is entirely too modest. Scott is The Garden's 3D specialist and tech guru. Scott has a BS in computer information systems from Towson University, but found his passion for motion design while taking classes in the Graphic Design department. While these two subjects may seem unrelated, they give Scott a unique skill set in both creative and technical problem solving. Scott has a natural affinity for design and has become a typography fanatic during his past three years with The Garden.

Jessica Ring
Jessica Ring
Co-Owner/Art Director

Jessica earned her BS and MFA in Visual Communication Design at Kent State University. In addition to her work with the Garden, she is an associate professor of graphic design in the Department of Art + Design, Art History, Art Education at Towson University, in Towson, Maryland. Before that, she worked for a private company and taught at American University. Her research interests include sustainable graphic design, design for social issues and graphic design education. Travel, hiking, camping, reading and knitting are some of her many hobbies…besides spending lots of time with her three dogs and husband!

Nicole Wright
Nicole Wright

Nicole Wright is The Garden Creative's Producer and she's excited to dig in! She is a graduate of the University of Maryland. She worked in the medical field and owned a small dog walking company before joining The Garden. When she's not working, she can be found assisting in local dog training classes or hanging out with her husband and dog.

JR Soldano
JR Soldano
Executive Producer

JR is a director, writer and producer who brings over 20 years of advertising experience in both business-to-business and consumer channels. He creates and produces all levels of marketing content—from million dollar series launches to daily topical promotion and everything in between—and his background in print and design offers a unique and wide-ranging skillset. He has garnered a number of industry awards, including 6 Addys, a BDA Award, a Telly Award and 4 Promax awards, and has directed two award-winning shorts in the past 4 years. In addition, JR is one of the creators/writers/producers of cult favorite Pancake Mountain—an offbeat, internet-based kids' show—and also writes and performs as celebrity-interviewing puppet Rufus Leaking on the show. JR currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Maggie, and 2 children.

Ben Exler
Ben Exler
Jr. Motion Designer

Ben is a print and motion graphic designer based in Los Angeles. Upon discovering motion design while attending Towson University, Ben knew fairly immediately that he wanted to do this professionally, so he learned all he could about motion, got that snazzy degree, and booked a flight to the left coast. Remarkably, he still resides there, and he collaborates with The Garden (so much for moving west, right?). He also runs his own freelance business specializing in print and motion graphics. When he's not working, he's probably still working, or trying to explore the massive city he calls home. Home for now, at least.
